Anxiety lives in the future.
You don't.

A small, open source grounding journal for AI anxiety, and the reasons it exists.

01

The senses only exist in the present

You cannot smell tomorrow. You cannot touch next quarter. Every worry is a draft of the future; every sense is a receipt from the present. wehumanhuman is built around one old, boring, effective trick: 5 things you see, 4 you feel, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste. That's it. That's the product.

02

Software should calm down

No push notifications begging you to come back. No guilt screens. No "you lost your streak, disappointment detected." If the numbers ever show the technique isn't helping you, the app's only advice is to slow down and breathe — never to use the app more. An app that wants less of your attention is either broken or honest. We're aiming for honest.

03

Open source: git for humans

The whole thing is MIT licensed and lives at github.com/lvisockas/wehumanhuman. Fork it, break it, translate it, ship your own version for your own brain. Pull requests from humans — and, fine, their agents — are welcome. Feel free to vibe on top.

Founder's note: I have AI anxiety

Hi, I'm Lukas Visockas. I build things with AI, I read the news about AI, and some nights the future feels like a train I can hear but not see. That is, clinically speaking, a lot. This app is what I actually do about it: stop, look around, name five things, drink the coffee while it's warm.

I'm not a therapist and this is not therapy. It's a founder self-medicating with the present tense — in public, with a git history.

05

Yes, the logo is dressed like Claude. On purpose.

The wordmark — wehumanhuman — is set in the most Claude-ai-ish serif that Google Fonts would legally give us (Source Serif 4; the real ones are proprietary, we checked). This is intentional. If AI is the thing that makes us anxious, we'll write "human" twice in its favourite typeface and call it exposure therapy for the brand.

The weights drift on purpose too: we leans in italic, the first human stands regular, the second human lands bold — the sentence gets more human as it goes. So should the software.

The rest of the identity is black and white with a single highlighter, because that's what grounding is: mostly monochrome days, and the practice of marking what matters.

06

Your data is yours, boringly

Everything you type stays in your browser's local storage. No account, no tracking pixel, no "we value your privacy" banner that means the opposite. When a backend arrives someday, it will be opt-in and it will be in the repo first.
